Mask Painting Workshop — Layers, Textures & Materials
Join Lucca Rodriguez at Nokies Palette for a hands-on mask painting workshop where the focus is on process, not perfection. We'll explore how to build expressive, textured surfaces using layering techniques and a variety of materials — spatulas, cutting tools, unconventional mark-making objects, and more — to create depth and character in every piece.
You'll experiment with combining different materials and textures, discovering how layers build on top of each other to create something raw, unexpected, and entirely your own. Whether you're drawn to bold contrast or subtle build-up, this session is about breaking away from "clean" painting and embracing texture, scarring, and imperfection as part of the story.
Enjoy the stunning surrounds of Nokies Palette, glass of wine in hand, while you get hands-on with a completely different approach to painting.
No experience necessary — just curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
