This workshop is a departure from traditional portraiture. We will move beyond capturing likeness, focusing instead on conveying emotion, energy, and personal expression.
We begin with chalk, sketching faces in a loose, intuitive way—releasing concerns for perfect proportions. From there, we explore colour as pure feeling. Using paint and spatulas, we’ll build energetic layers, allowing the portrait to emerge through movement, texture, and instinct.
Guided by mood rather than rules, we'll let colour lead the process. Faces will speak through bold contrasts, gestural marks, and vibrant imperfections.
Open to all levels, this session is an invitation to explore the human face with freedom, celebrating expression over accuracy in a supportive, creative space.
